Sara has a VERY busy life! She is a wife and mother, plus she works for Portland Street Medicine which is a group of volunteer medical professionals giving care to the homeless population of Portland. For women around the world trying to balance everything can be extremely difficult. Sara has adopted a mindset where she simply does what she can with the time she has and this has been such a crucial part of her 8 Week Body Transformation Program.

“After my third baby was born (5 months ago) I was lost and confused when it came to getting back into my "normal." Lucy as a Fitness and Nutrition Coach listened to everything I had to say and made me feel beyond ready to get back at it. My workouts have been slow and steady and I am seeing great results! Sara explains that she had always tried to be healthy and active but felt she never had a handle on it. Sara also explains that she wanted to work on her relationship with food instead of always feeling like she has to be on a diet.

BREASTFEEDING AND WEIGHT LOSS

I receive a lot of questions about breastfeeding and weight loss when working with my new mom clients. While you are breastfeeding, focus on making healthy choices. My recommendation is that you focus on a variety of whole grains as well as plenty of fruits and vegetables. As long as you are cleared by your doctor, weight loss exercise is recommended and to take things up a notch you can look into counting and tracking your macros using My Fitness Pal. Keep in mind that your macronutrient percentages will need to be modified to accommodate for the extra calories being used by feeding.
